Digital department grows

Atimage150 Since announcing our commitment to digital media in July, Gordon and Mitch have been working hard on developing new websites and digital marketing strategies.

Recent sites we have launched have been:

Dolphcom – a website for Australia’s leading whale and dolphin adventure company. The site incorporates excellent video, images and information.

Newcastle Golf Club – the Hunter Valley’s top ranked golf course asked Sticky to create a new website to showcase the club and course and improve their Google rankings.  The new site has proven to be an immediate success in both traffic, usability and search.

SNOBS – Local media identity Carlee Potter has launched an online magazine for Australian businesswomen. The site was designed and built by Sticky, incorporating our social media ideas and interactive concepts. Only a few weeks old, SNOBS is already attracting attention nationally.

Another 7 sites are currently in development as we speak with several others in pre-development.

Our digital team can assist your business with:

  • Website development
  • Search engine optimisation
  • Electronic newsletters and database marketing
  • Digital advertising
  • Web-based PR

How do I get better Google rankings?

The biggest question we are asked when talking about online marketing here at Sticky is “How do I get better Google rankings?” The other variation of the question is “How do I get onto the first page on Google?

How do i get better Google search ranking?

In the web industry this is a little like asking “What is the meaning of life?” Its both that important and that mysterious.

Here at Sticky we have learned a lot about getting better Google rankings; so much so that we now bundle it into all web design. While we aren’t ready to give away all our trade secrets to better search engine optimisation we are very happy to share this simple guide to improving your Google page rankings (you will have to make an appointment to find out the rest).

We have broken good SEO down to the Three C’s - Code, Content and Connections.

Code refers to the language your site is written in and the code behind many of the banners, tabs and headlines. Put simply, some website platforms are good for search engine optimisation, while others are useless.

Is your business ready for Social Media

Social-media150 In the August 2008 edition of Marketing Magazine Sticky was identified as one of the leading social media agencies in Australia. Yet, since Sticky relaunched as Newcastle’s first Digital, Social and Traditional media agency we haven’t talked up the social media aspect as publicly as some of our other offerings.

One-on-one with clients we have begun introducing social media thinking and strategies to their marketing, but we weren’t sure if people here were ready for a full-on social media information onslaught.

Social media in Australia is still very much an emerging form of marketing and as currently there are very few genuine Australian social media agencies. Many agencies are beginning to pay lip service to social media, but aren’t really addressing it correctly or effectively.

The good news is that social media is beginning to gain traction here. Recently Julian Cole trumpeted the launch of The Population, a new agency focusing purely on social media and with backing from Photon. This is exciting news as there are some good operators involved and we will be watching eagerly to see their progress.
